![]() The name became Eversharp Schick Injector Razor, with the 'Schick Injector' part getting smaller and printed in a different font and color that emphasized the phrase 'Eversharp Razor.' In fact, the Fashion razor and its cheaper cousin, the Deb, were both marketed with only the Eversharp name on the razor, although the packaging still referred to Eversharp-Schick. Over the next few years, the name in advertising and on packaging changed to reflect their ownership. Unfortunately, the now owners of the Schick Injector Razor Company (Eversharp) were desperate to end the confusion created by the two Schick razor companies.Īlan Appleby has summarized the Schick/Eversharp name evolution best,Įversharp seemed to want to rename the Schick Injector Razor. He used the proceeds to develop and market his electric dry razor, the Schick Dry Shaver which became successful over the next 15 yrs. The next few years were busy, in 1921-1929 he applied for five injector razor patents and relocated the company 5 times, eventually selling to the American Chain and Cable Company. ![]() Colonel became inspired by repeating rifles used in WWI. began in 1923 when Jacob Schick, a retired US Army Lt. Included was a new brass injector with key and blade loading slider. It opens into a display holder and includes space for a used blade container. The case is a distinct art deco black plastic box with gorgeous details and durability. Manufactured from 1940-1941, this unique and beautiful razor that features a solid one piece aluminum alloy handle and brass blade guard. The New Improved Schick Injector Razor Type F Your suggestions are appreciated. It's no secret that many shaving companies were bought and sold throughout their golden years including Schick and even Gillette, but few know that the last Schick razor to be manufactured and sold without the accompanied 'Eversharp' name is one of the rarest and most collectible of the Schick line: I know that this question is a bit vague, my apologies for that, but this is one area I'm completely clueless about. I know that I'm not interested in the Gem style razors at this time and the SE blades that they take as I'm leaning more toward the injector blade style. What should I expect from a vintage injector razor in comparison to the King Cobra and how do the blades compare? What vintage injector is most like the Cobra or King Cobra? ![]() should I seek out an injector to try and if so which one and where and what blades do I get for it? I like an aggressive razor that gives a really close shave. Not that I try to squeeze every shave out of a blade but more that I've noticed no drop in quality during this time frame. These blades last me around 30 three pass shaves per blade as opposed to the six shaves I get from a Feather DE blade. I usually go the third pass anyway and the shave is about as good as it gets. The blades give me the results of a three pass DE shave in two passes. So I know that I like the feel of a SE injector style razor. I find myself using the King Cobra most days now and I prefer the Feather Professional blades in it. It's pretty cool and all, but again not as close of a shave for me. I shaved with it at one point for about a month straight and now I use it from time to time just for fun. I have a Rolls razor also that I won in a PIF a long time ago. Pretty decent but not anywhere near perfection so sometimes I pick one up on the weekend. I have some straight razors that I shave with here and there for fun but I'm not to the point where I can get as close of a shave with them. I also have several DE razors including several ATT, LASS BBS-1 and some vintage razors. I've even shimmed the Mongoose to make it more aggressive as it was a bit mild for me. I do have a Mongoose as well but prefer the King Cobra. It seems, like the modern versions, that these aren't as popular as the DE razors, so it might be something fun to explore.Ĭurrently in SE I'm using mostly a King Cobra Razor. ![]() I mean I knew it was here but I never really spent any time in here learning about SE razors. Ok, so I'm not new to the forum but somehow I've entirely missed this section. ![]()
